Today's run was 18 miles on tired legs. Yesterday, I noticed that the Burke-Gilman trail had a dirt/gravel path that ran parallel to the trail practically the entire way. Yes, I know that there was a trail but I did not know how far it went. I staged my run from Gasworks and ran out to the 9 mile point I had identified on my bike yesterday. I set my watch for 10 minute intervals and alternated between water and Gatorade. On the way back, I threw in a couple of blocks (margarita -- have not been able to stomach them since IMNZ). Managed to negative spit my run but I was plenty tired by the time I was done.
