It has been a long time since I blogged. I have really only had enough time to fill out my training log but not much else. I have been trying to get in 4 runs, 3 swims, 3 lifts and 2 bikes in each week and have almost succeeded.

Last night, I started to feel sick :( and woke up this morning definitely feeling sick. Katie and I went for a long run but I cut it short because I could not get my HR below 184.

Woke up at 5 to catch the 5:23 bus in order to make it to the core class at the Java Gym. Unfortunately, the first bus was late and the driver incompetent so I missed the connecting bus in time to make the class.

So I did my own core and weights before starting my day.

After spending a good part of the morning (as Ruth puts it) farting around cleaning my chain and walking to the hardware store for a new battery for my speedometer, I finally got my butt on my bike for a ride.

I rode from home up the Burke Gilman train and then from there up to Marymoore and on E/W Lake Samm and over to Bellevue, across Mercer Island and then finally back home. Unfortunately, I neglected my nutrition (I had a powerbar but really could not stomach the thought of eating it) and bonked after coming back over the I-90 bridge.

Fortunately, Ruth scooped me at the McDonalds on 25th where I stopped to get a chicken sandwich and only chastised me lightly for not eating.

I got up at 5:30 AM in order to drive to work to take the 6:30 AM core class. Yesterday wiped me out and just plan to do weights today.

I got humbled pretty quickly in the half hour core class and will probably be pretty damn sore tomorrow!

After getting WAY over served on rum and coke, I managed to get out of bed at 5:15 AM and drag myself to swim practice. My pace was very very very slow...

Had to work today but managed to get in a long run before dinner at our friend's house. Ruth picked me up and then dropped me at Alki. From there I ran along the beach and up Marine view drive to her house. I was pretty pokey but ran the entire time including the last 1.5 uphill miles.
