I am a 7 minute miler. I am even a sub-7 minute miler. For years, I have wanted to run a 7 minute mile and I have always been at least 15 seconds behind that elusive goal. But today that all changed and I could not be more thrilled. At the end of this morning's track workout, you could see the steam just pouring off of me and when I commented on it, Ruth said that am a steaming pile of SPEED.

I went into the interval workout just hoping to maintain a 7:30 pace for my mile intervals. After the first one -- faster than I have ever run a mile in my life, I thought that was a fluke and I worked hard on the second to make a 7:15-7:30. Then after that one, I ran the last to survive and still kicked ass.
